Hello. Thanks for the definition. I was fully engulfed with UNIX at that time and we made our own 32 bit processor and memory chips, so the restrictions did not apply to us. Besides, memory was in the MB not GB range. Hey, I think I sent you a GB Invite, but you are not available on the Inbox. I prefer that to the white board as it is private and allows more space. When we wrote Technical documents, the rule was to use an acronym once and define it in brackets. After that, the acronym was fine as the reader could always see the first use and what it meant.
