I'm riding the bike now 58 which is our high temp lately. Here you cold weather cyclists have studded bike tires. I'm riding about 200 miles per week, in a downpour today; but I was glad because us Californians have our terrible droughts.

Pacificas aren't too bad, Calibers too, nor the Ford Edge for that matter. They can be modified for improvements as well, though you won't get 500 mpg out of them through the conventional engines.

Hybrids could be brought up to 150 to 250 mpg with about another $25 to $30k even as factory options or dealer installed options. Others are already bringing some of them up to 100 mpg, even cases of 120 and more.

For whatever vehicle you do decide to get, let me know if you want to improve the mileage. If you have the money, you can do much to get better mileage. You want 500 mpg? Get a Fusion, Insight, Prius or even possibly a Durango, or other hybrid vehicle of your choice, and have it modified or modify it yourself. It would take a lot to get it there, well over another $20k just if you did the work yourself, or over $50k if you paid to have it done, but it could be done. Just like getting a Charger, Camaro or Mustang up past 50 mpg on the highway today, could be done, but it takes money and time! That applies even to pickup trucks as well, even they could get 30 to 50 mpg and even more in some cases on the highway. Every vehicle is different though, and some are easier to contend with.

Wow! OUCH! Sounds almost like you're lucky to be alive or someone upstairs didn't want you dead yet! Just be careful, even with the bike as you've got to watch out for the others more now! Yeah, at least you'll be saving on gas. Nope, not October yet! I look forward to it slightly, not just for the hockey either! You have a great day, weekend and week!
